Why French Lace

French lace is sexy and revealing yet plays tricks on the eye, trompe l’oeil, a peek-a-boo effect.

Why Choose Lace
From France

It sensuously skims the surface of the skin only to fall in soft folds that barely hug the body.
There is no finer lace – in recent years it has been copied but there is no comparison: from the feel to the color to the delicateness.
Chantilly is light as air, the patterns complex and perfectly executed. Even when corded the lace remains fluid and luxurious. Unlike in the past, there are copies. Lace is produced elsewhere – most notably in Asia but that lace cannot compare to the quality and beauty of a true French leavers lace.

Why French Lace

Touch and feel

Unlike imitations, authentic French Lace is ONLY produced in France using the finest threads! The result: never scratchy, never squeaky, never “plastic feeling” – rather sensuous and rich against the skin.

You want your garments to last, don’t you? Sustainability is the catchword–
Authentic french lace is much more durable due to the expertise with which it is created. It will not rip or tear, will last a lifetime (when treated properly). Not only will you be able to keep the garments you love for years to come, but durable clothing is also better for the environment – sustainable fabrics are those that last!

Complexity, Variety & Patterns

While other countries/mills may try to copy French patterns, they cannot achieve the complexity of patterns and ‘gradients’ (i.e. hole sizes, varieties, thickness, etc.) that one can achieve with an authentic lace from France.

Cording

As mentioned before, the way in which our lace is corded results in a more consistent and beautiful final product. Not only is the cord added by hand, but each cord, or gimp, is dyed to match the color of the lace it is applied on – the result is matching color through and through, so you will never have little white or black dots when you cut into the lace while working with it.

Length of Eyelashes

While any lace may have eyelashes, the quality and consistency of those on French laces are superior. French lace is hand scalloped creating a more delicate and refined final product. The careful placement of a French lace on a garment beautifully completes the look.
